ArtPrize is an open, independently organized international art competition which takes place for 19 days each fall in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  More than five hundred thousand dollars in prizes are awarded each year, which include a $200,000 prize awarded entirely by public vote and another $200,000 prize awarded by a jury of art experts.

This year two artists from Oil City are exhibiting at ArtPrize. Margaret Brostrom and George Cooley are unveiling Human Targets, a series of seven official NRA human silhouette targets enhanced by the artists. George & Margaret believe practicing weapons skills on the human form constitutes premeditation, and using those skills on real humans results in premeditated homicide.

Human Targets is being shown at a premier ArtPrize venue, the Fountain Street Church. If you have the opportunity to visit ArtPrize go see Human Targets, and if so inclined please vote for #67103.
